I love your site and I miss your 'kids' to take care of. I am not the owner of KMN anymore but if you need care I would love to see them again. I miss spending time with Chloe and Marvin and your cats too. I miss them and would love to see them again. Love and peace to you all.

I found your blogs and web site while searching for a photo of Sky Pond in Rocky Mountain NP. Your narratives with photos are quite helpful in planning new hikes. You are a gifted writer in addition to being a great photographer! When I retire this summer, I'll have to see if I can figure out how to create a blog or web site. I live in the Denver area and can recommend some great hikes here in the state. One that I particularly enjoyed with my son was in the Weminuche Wilderness of southwest Colorado. We took the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train to the Needleton drop-off point (http://durangotrain.com/about-us/wilderness-access) and hiked a 40-mile loop to Elk Park where we caught the train again. We rode to Silverton for lunch and then back to Durango. The train caters to backpackers and the ride adds to a special experience. The trip took 5 days and included a 1/2 day hike on day 1 followed by 3 full days of hiking, then a short hike at the end to catch the train in late-morning. I can also recommend some hikes in Rocky Mt NP. I'll be glad to send you my 'trip reports' if you send me an email. Because of your blog, my next hike is going to be to Chasm Lake! Keep in mind that it is extremely important to keep hydrated at high altitude. Drink even though you may not feel quite thirsty. Finally, If it's not too much trouble, it would be helpful to have daily entries start at the top and go to the bottom, particularly when the narration is in parts like you did with the hike to Chasm Lake. In other words, it would be easier for the reader to start at the top of the page and scroll down to read Part 1, then continue scrolling to Part 2, etc.

Hello folks! Thank you all for visiting, and for signing in, too! I really appreciate hearing from old friends. I put in a new guestbook, and I hope you like it -- I sure do! I got tired of deleting spam from the old one provided by Guestbook.de, whose free web stuff I've been using since 1998. Feel free to sign in often, and remember to come back soon!

Hi Cy! I just thought I'd cruise by your site today as I dreamt of you a few nights ago. In my dream, you bought a house in Manila and were showing it to me. Sana magkatotoo nga but in the meantime, I'm glad you and Billy are getting along well. Good luck in the future! Pips
